Friday, June 29
  • 4 pm - 9 pm – Book Sale at Town Hall

  • Saturday, June 30
    Independence Day Parade and Hinesburg Fire Assoc. 75th Anniversary

  • 9 am - 2 pm   Book Sale at Town Hall, sponsored by Carpenter Carse Library
  • 10 am - Parade assembly begins at bottom of Buck Hill Road West and Route 116 (Please note Route 116 is closed from 10:45 am - 12 pm)
  • 10:30 am – Judging of parade entries.
  • 11 am – Parade starts at bottom of Buck Hill Road West and Route 116, follows through village, turning onto onto Mechanicsville Road, ending at Post Office at 12 pm
  • 12 pm - 2 pm – Book Sale resumes at Town Hall
  • 11 am - 3 pm – Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Hinesburg Fire Association with a "Mingle at the Hinesburg Fire Station" with visiting fire apparatus on display, Color Guard, Department Presentations, Cake, Cold Drinks, Historical Displays, Family Activities, and Food Vendors.

  • Sunday, July 1
  • 10 am – Trails Committee will host a hike that will start at Town Hall and proceed to the Russell Property up to the Overlook Trail and back. George Dameron of the Trails Committee and Professor of History at St. Michael's College will lead the hike and historical discussion.
  • 1 pm – Great Vermont Barn Dance hosted by Rik Palieri. Don't miss this live performance being streamed from Town Hall, featuring Hungrytown, Green Mountain Volunteers, story tellers Rick Cedallos and Bill Torrey, plus a surprise or two!

  • Monday July 2
  • 3 pm - 7 pm – Farmer's Market / Craft Fair behind the Fire Station on the green
  • 5:30 pm – BBQ Hosted by Dee P.T.
  • 6:30 pm – Vermont 40th Army Band to perform behind HCS

  • Tuesday July 3
    Hilly Hobble Foot Race

  • Registration for Hilly Hobble Foot Race at HCS
  • 6:30 pm – 10k start at bottom of Buck Hill Road West and Route 116
  • 7 pm – 5k start at bottom of Buck Hill Road West and Route 116
  • 7:10 pm – Kid's 2k starts at Veteran's Park, next to Good Times Cafe
  • Race finishes at Veteran's Park and prizes are awarded

  • Wednesday July 4
  • 10 am – Firecracker Scramble Golf Tournament at Cedar Knoll Golf Course
  • 2 pm - 8 pm – Hinesburgh Public House's July 4th Picnic on the Lawn with Beach Volley Ball behind the Pub and MUSIC!
  • 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm – Music by Rodney Putnam
  • 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm – Music by The Insiders
  • 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm   Music by The Tenderbellies
  • Serving burgers, sausages, and ribs, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks

    Hannaford Application Information
    Hannaford submitted two applications on January 29, 2018 for Development Review Board (DRB) consideration. The site plan application is for the proposed supermarket use.

    Review of the Hannaford project began at the April 17th DRB meeting. After lengthy testimony and discussion on the subdivision revision application and the stormwater component of site plan application, the review was continued to the May 15th meeting. Traffic issues will be one of the principal items discussed at the May 15th meeting.

    VT Alert System for Hinesburg - Sign Up Info
    The Select Board has adopted the VT-Alert system as the official notification system for the Town of Hinesburg. We will be using this system to send out emergency notifications via phone, text, and email regarding road closures, water main breaks or shut-offs as well as many other issues that could impact our residents and business owners. In order to receive these notifications, you must sign up to receive them.
